Mirriam and her family live in a one-room dilapidated shanty. Her parents died and she and her siblings are now in the care of their 67-year old grandmother. She has three siblings. Life is hard for them as they do not have enough even for food on the table. Her aging grandmother sells fruits in the market to be able to sustain them. Mirriam dreams of becoming a missionary someday.
