She hails from a humble polygamous family where she has grown seeing her young mother undergoing battering from her father. During the entire period while students were at home, Yvonne underwent much family and psychological torture where her biological mother had to run away from the family due to merciless beatings from their father. Yvonne lives with her father, and her step-mother both of whom do not mind about her studies as well as her siblings.
