This project aims at providing decent housing to Christians residing in Barangay Datu Saber, Marawi City whose houses were burnt July 2017. The cause of fire is still unknown till now. As result of the fire, they were not allowed to return because the military has reclaimed the area as a military reservation. They were given an area and tents by Barangay Council of Datu Saber. The community were dispersed. Some took shelter at the barracks of their workplace like Provincial Capitol and Amay Pakpak Hospital. Some lived with their families or relatives in other towns or provinces but some opted to live in tents at Datu Saber.
Other organizations also provided assistance to these IDPs from Datu Saber: CRS assisted them in rental and Duyog Marawi provided some livelihood assistance to them.
Duyog Marawi conducted a survey and profiled 194 families who are either house own or renters of which 74 were prioritized to be part of this project.
Memorandum of Agreement signed between CFC Winnipeg and ANCOP International Canada Inc. Completion of Community Development Plan to be released in 1st Quarter of 2021.
